Do you want to pursue a career in music, bring your creativity to life, write songs, play on stage, and live the dream?

What’s the #1 reason to study harmonica at Winter Park Music Academy?

Our harmonica instructors are friendly and patient. We work with every student or parent to tailor the lessons to match the individual’s learning style, genre and goals.

What will I learn?

Beginners will learn the basics of playing a diatonic harmonica: holding the harp, breathing and making sound with single notes and chords. Our instructors will then show you simple patterns and songs! We will carefully guide you from where you are to where you want to go. Whether that’s technical proficiency or playing your favorite songs, we can take you there!

What styles of harmonica do you teach?

Any style can be played on the harmonica! We teach all styles from pop, classical, rock, blues, jazz, metal, funk, folk, bluegrass, worship, R&B and reggae. You name it, our instructors can teach it!

Are you instructors qualified?

Yes! Our harmonica and music instructors have degrees from Rollins College, University of Central Florida, DePaul University and Georgia State University. Many of our instructors have gone on performance tours of the US and Europe and have over 15 years of professional performance and teaching experience.

Do I need to be able to read music before I start harmonica lessons?

No, we welcome beginners!

Do I need a harmonica at home to take piano lessons?

You will need your own harmonica to practice with at home. We can recommend the right one for your budget. A simple harmonica costs between $5.00-$40.00.
