What is the first piano lesson like?

We work with each student to create a lesson plan which fits their needs and musical preferences. This means that a seven year old having their first piano lesson will have very different needs than a fifty seven year old taking up piano for the 2nd time after having had lessons as a child. At your first piano lesson at Winter Park Music Academy, your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for the future! Whether you want to learn Bach or Alicia Keys, our piano teachers are happy to help you become the pianist you want to be.

What do you learn in piano lessons?

Whether you take piano lessons in Winter Park at our studio, or if you opt to take in home piano lessons in Orlando, you will learn all of the traditional fundamentals of learning a musical instrument: sight reading technique music theory

What age do you teach piano to?

Ages 5 plus are welcome to take piano lessons at our studio.

Do I need a piano to begin lessons?

You do not have to have a piano at home to take lessons. A simple full size electronic keyboard will suffice for the first 6 months.

What styles do you teach?

We teach a wide range of styles in our Orlando area piano lessons. Our piano teachers teach of all styles from: rock, pop, country, blues, folk, indie, alternative, and classical. They make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals.

Experienced Piano Teachers in the Orlando Area

Our piano teachers have received their education from prestigious institutions such as Rollins College, University of Central Florida and University of South Florida. Many of our instructors have gone on performance tours of the US and Europe and have 15 years of professional performance and teaching experience. In addition to their teaching credentials, the piano teachers at Winter Park Music Academy have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and strive to get to know each student and their parents on a personal level.

Lessons are available:
Monday through Thursday 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Fridays 3:30p.m. to 7:00p.m.
Saturdays 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.
We also offer lessons outside these times, just call to book!
